About VATANCHI
The VATANCHI movement is the irregular organization whose goal is to preserve the heritage of the Tatar people, to familiarize the future generation with it, as well as everyone who is interested in our culture.
The organization strives to widely cover events and activities and popularize important elements of identity. And also to create favorable conditions for the successful development of the Tatar nation.

The main values of the VATANCHI Movement are: traditions, culture, history, language, religion, national unity.
VATANCHI is the person who is not indifferent to the fate of his people; the one who feels ownership and unity with his people is ready to participate and strengthen the unity and spirit of the people (Tatarlyk).
Tatars are the second largest people in Russia.
Tatars play the leading role in expanding Russia's economic and political ties in the Islamic world and the Turkic states.
Tatarstan is one of the most economically developed industrial regions and one of the main donor regions of Russia.
Kazan Tatars are a nation with more than 1000 years of history, with its own rich culture, language, religion and traditions.
Tatarlyk (Tatarness)
Tatarlyk (Tatarness) is the national identity, formed on the basis of religion, culture and traditions by various generations of the Tatar people.
These are people who consider themselves to be the Tatar nation, this is what is in their blood, devotion to Islam, connection with their ancestors, with their tragic history, with Tatars around the world, with their native language, with the Republic of Tatarstan and other Tatar lands.
Tatarlyk includes: commitment to one’s people, respect and preservation of the Tatar language, support and development of cultural traditions, observance of religious customs passed down from generation to generation. This is the desire for unity and solidarity among the Tatars, regardless of their place of residence, and for the protection of their national interests.

1. Goals of the VATANCHI Movement:
1.1. Preservation and strengthening of the Tatars national identity (culture, traditions, history, language, religion);
1.2. Organization and development of educational and outreach activities;
1.3. Conducting social and cultural events;
1.4. Formation and development of civil society, expansion of civic and social participation;
1.5. Development and implementation of projects of social significance;
1.6. Conducting scientific and sociological research;
1.7. Development of public diplomacy.

2.3. Assistance in the development and implementation of socially significant programs, projects and events in accordance with the goals of the Movement;
2.4. Organization and holding of lectures, conferences, meetings, round tables, trainings, master classes, congresses, forums and other similar events aimed at achieving the goals of the Movement;
2.5. Creation and support of electronic information resources on the Internet, including social networks covering the activities of the Movement;
2.6. Carrying out information activities (culture, history, politics, language, religion) in the media;
2.7. Attracting investments aimed at improving the material and technical base of the Organization to achieve the goals of the Movement;
2.8. Preservation, popularization, organization of offline and online Tatar language lessons;
2.9. Organization of the international Tatar school;
2.10. Legalization of memorable dates of the Tatar people:
Memory Day, the fall of the Kazan Khanate in 1552;
Holodomor of 1920 – 1921 in the TASSR;
2.11. Introduction into circulation of the Tatar writing of the common Turkic alphabet;
2.12. Return of the Republic of the highest official title of Tatarstan Republic - «President»;
2.13. Development of cooperation with international organizations in accordance with the Movement’s program.
